Post-doctoral position: Forest Biogeochemistry, Cary Institute

The Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, NY is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to study forest biogeochemistry at Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest. The position will conduct research on soil carbon and nitrogen cycling and ecosystem succession and will require frequent trips to the field site in New Hampshire and strenuous field work in a mountainous location.

Requirements: Ph.D. in forest ecology, forest soils or related field required. Competence in soil chemistry, plant chemistry and stable isotope techniques highly desirable.

Duration: Full-time beginning approximately February 1, 2014. One year position with extension to a second year depending on performance.
