New Novus Resources: Technical Protocols

The Novus RCN Resources Page now has a new section for technical research protocols. This section will house both written and video protocols (the latter archived on the Novus RCN YouTube Channel).

Currently, this section houses a video demonstration for collecting core samples from living trees, and a written step-by-step protocol for nitrogen isotope analysis of wood samples, including collecting core samples, processing cores in the lab, ring width measurements, and preparation of samples for N analysis in a mass spectrometer.

If you have a video or written protocol relevant to the Novus RCN that you would like posted to the resources page, OR if you would like to request the development of a protocol for a given research technique, please contact Laci Gerhart-Barley at rockchalk@ksu.edu
