Lab Manager Position: Stable Isotope and Biochemistry Laboratory, University at Buffalo

The Department of Geology at the University at Buffalo is seeking a full-time Senior Research Support Specialist in the Stable Isotope and Biogeochemistry Laboratory. The laboratory houses a GC-FID and an ASE, and an isotope ratio mass spectrometer with peripheral instruments including an elemental analyzer and a GC with a pyrolysis/combustion interface. Responsibilities include general management and oversight of day-to-day operation of this facility, instrument maintenance, data storage, participation in research through application and development of analytical techniques, and training of students including offering short courses in analytical techniques. The opportunity for independent research also exists.
