Novus 3 Workshop Underway!

The 3rd Novus Workshop is now underway! For this workshop, 30 researchers are coming together at the Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve in Minnesota to develop a multidisciplinary research project centered around a sediment core of Cedar Bog Lake and soil cores of the surrounding oak savanna.

The Novus Steering Committee: (L-R) Dan Gavin, Kendra McLauchlan, Bérangère Leys, Phil Higuera, Michelle Mack, and Steve Perakis

The first three days of the workshop involved collecting cores of the lake and surrounding forest. The rest of the workshop will focus on processing and collecting data from the core at the National Lacustrine Core Facility (LacCore) at University of Minnesota.

Check out those beautiful cores!
